- 1 cup long-grain white rice
- 2 cups water
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 Tbsp unsalted butter
- Parsley (optional)
Instructions
- Pour the water and salt into a medium sauce pan and bring to a boil.
- Add the rice and butter and stir.
- Reduce heat to low and cover.
- Let it simmer for approximately 20 minutes, or until all the water has evaporated. Check after 15 minutes, then every 5 minutes. Once the water has evaporated, the rice is ready.
- Remove from heat and keep covered until ready to serve.
- Transfer to a bowl and garnish with parsley.
