- 2 cups all purpose flour
- 3/4 cups warm water
- 1 Tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp granulated white sugar
- 1 tsp instant yeast
- 1 tsp salt
Instructions
- Mix the warm water, yeast, and sugar in the bowl of a stand mixer with the dough hook attachment. Let it sit for five minutes until foamy.
- Add the flour, salt, and olive oil and mix on medium-low speed until the dough isn’t sticking to the sides anymore. Allow the stand mixer to continue kneading the dough for another five minutes.
- Place the dough in a lightly greased bowl and cover. Allow it to rise for 45 minutes at room temperature.
- Prepare toppings and preheat oven to 475° F.
- Punch the dough down and divide it into two equal parts.
- Shape and stretch each piece of dough until it is 1/4″ thick, then transfer to baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Brush the dough with olive oil and add toppings.
- Bake for 15 to 20 minutes until the crust is browned.
- Remove from oven, slice, and serve.
Notes
For same-day pizza instead of flatbread, divide the dough into two equal parts before rising, then stretch it like pizza dough with a well-defined crust. Bake at 550° F for 4-6 minutes on a pre-heated pizza steel or pizza stone.
